Mower

This Troy-Bilt 21″ TB160 mower features a Honda 160cc engine and a 15ga steel deck.

The deck height is adjustable between 6 positions from 1.25″ to 3.75″, however a lot of people note the two handles to adjust the positions are not the easiest to use.

It is a 3-in-1 model meaning it can do bagging, mulching or side discharge.

It does have 11 inch wheels on the back and 7 inch wheels on the front which should make it a little easier to maneuver around.

On the front of the mower there is a plastic rake that is supposed to help raise the grass up to get cut better. In reality, a lot of people note that if they have an uneven lawn it just gets in the way. It either tears up the yard or scalps it. Something to keep in mind if you don’t have a nice, flat lawn.

Some other people note the handle is a little flimsy.

This mower is meant for a property 1/4 acre or less.

Most people seem happy with the cut and it also seems to perform fairly well while cutting tall grass without bogging down much.

Final Thoughts

Basically, the Troy-Bilt TB160 21″ mower seems fine for anyone with a small, flat yard. For the price, you’re basically buying the Honda engine as there aren’t many other bells and whistles on this mower.

If you have a bigger yard or a yard with obstacles I’m not sure if you’ll be happy with this mower.
